Low budget but atmospheric telling of the Bigfoot legend. Made in a docu-drama style using some of the original 'witnesses' acting out and telling their stories. Quite a big 'Drive In' hit when it was first released.

Childhood memories of drive in double feature
I was at the drive in with my parents and it was a double feature. The Legend of Boggy Creek was the second movie. By this time both of my parents dozed off so there I was all alone watching this movie. Most of the people had left by the time the movie had reached the part where the house was being attacked. What great memories and yes, the fear all came back. This movie has stayed with me my entire life and I have had my own sightings as well so I have been in contact with the BFRO for quite a few years now and am a firm believer. Thank you for the access to this great movie and wonderfull memories.

Childhood memories...
I remember watching this on TV as a kid and it scared the heck out of me but I had always wanted to see it again. I have it on DVD and watch it all the time but can't say why exactly. I think watching the goofy kid running and tripping over the fence in the beginning may have something to do with it. Perhaps it's the awesome "Crabtree" song or the hermit that shot himself in the foot...

Rest In Peace Charles
This movie totally freaked me out when I was a kid, it was a nicely nostalgic experience to watch it again. Could really see how Blair Witch was influenced by this movie. Apparently Charles Pierce sadly passed away just a couple of days ago, so rest in peace from one fan.

Okay it's not a classic but...
Okay it's not a great film, hammy acting galore but I never found it less than entertaining. Some of the scenes are really quite effective and the end 'encounter' is cool. Pretty creepy in a good way.
